This Sabbath
Messianic congregation · Montgomery County, MD
A seat at the table for those who love Yeshua.
We are a Messianic congregation in Montgomery County, Maryland, worshipping יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua (He saves) in a culturally Jewish context. The door is open. The table is set. You are welcome here.
Welcome
If you've been quietly curious
Maybe you are Jewish and you have been wondering, for years, about Yeshua. Maybe have started reading about the Jewish roots of your faith. Maybe you just want to understand and not be sold, not be rushed, not be told you are weird for asking.
You are welcome at Son of David. We are here to set a place for you, the same way we would for a friend who has just arrived.
Our service is a Jewish home for the love of Yeshua: שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם Shabbat Shalom (Sabbath peace) at the door, the weekly פָּרָשָׁה parashah (the week's Torah portion) read aloud, a teaching that takes Scripture at its word, the בִּרְכַּת כֹּהֲנִים Birkat Kohanim (the Aaronic Benediction) sung in Hebrew while the room holds hands, and an עֹנֶג שַׁבָּת Oneg Shabbat (the joy of Sabbath, our shared meal) downstairs after.
We exist to proclaim our Messiah and Lord, Yeshua. Everything else — the Hebrew, the Sabbath, the table — flows from there.
יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ — Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, Jesus the Messiah
Our Vision
Four commitments. One Messiah.

Raise Up
Raise up reproducing, fully functioning disciples — leaders who teach others, who in turn teach others.
Replicate
Replicate small groups of caring, committed believers — circles of friendship strong enough to carry one another.
Relay
Relay a Messianic vision to the next generation — a faith worth passing on, taught with care, lived out at home.
Come Visit
The address, the hour, and what to expect.
We meet every Saturday morning at 10:30 AM. Service is open to anyone. Come as you are; stay as long as you like. We meet at 19100 Muncaster Road Derwood, MD 20855.
After the benediction, the Oneg Shabbat downstairs is part of the morning. We mean it when we say the fellowship is as important as the service.
